Refreshed A La Carte Menu at Escape Restaurant - One Farrer Hotel

Indulge in a refreshed A La Carte menu with hearty Western cuisine & interesting twists on local dishes by Executive Chef Marcus Tan at the Escape Restaurant - One Farrer Hotel.

The menu is focused on three key elements: infusing Western elements into Local dishes, usage of fresh ingredients in sauces & cooking methods to preserve the authentic flavour. This is evident in his two new signature dishes: Super Lobster Laksa & Wok Fried Hor Fun with Seared Ribeye Steak.

Brought back by popular demand, the Maine Lobster Laksa is a heartier version of the iconic dish. Concocted based on his secret recipe, the semi-spicy broth is topped with a poached whole lobster. The natural sweetness of the lobster rhymes well with the richness of the coconut milk-based broth. As for the Wok Fried “Hor Fun” with Seared Ribeye Steak, it consists of silky smooth rice noodles that is drenched in chef’s homemade black bean sauce. Stacked on top of the noodles is a slab of beef ribeye steak that is pan-seared to perfection.

Signature grilled meats such as Home-style Barbecued Pork Ribs & Braised Moroccan-Style Lamb Shank are also available. Sous vide for 24 hours, the pork rib is marinated with homemade BBQ Sauce and masterfully grilled. For the Braised Moroccan-Style Lamb Shank, it aims to give a refreshing aftertaste with the addition of homemade mint sauce.

For sweet treats after a good meal, look no further than the Kaya Toast Mille-Feuille & the Ondeh Ondeh cake. The Kaya Toast Mille-Feuille mimics the local favourite; a slice of buttery brioche with kaya cream and aromatic “Kopi” Ice Cream. The Ondeh Ondeh cake is served with coconut ice cream and berries compote.

For those who wish to celebrate mother's day at One Farrer Hotel, they are offering a full brunch buffet of Western & Local delights on the 14 May 2023. For the first time, the Grand Ballroom will be used to hold this celebration due to its elegant design and space. Expect highlights such as Classic Egg Benedict, Oven-Baked pizzas, Penang Assam Laksa, DIY Popiah & Pandan Layer Cake.

A local band, The Juleb Dandies, will be belting out favourite hits for all beloved mums. For the little kiddos, feel free to let them expend their limitless energy in the Bouncy castle that will be set up in the Grand Ballroom.
